Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, surrounding a central destroyer cutting through waves, the reverse with a crimped hinge and horizontal pinback, topped by a stabilizer, maker marked with the logo of Sohni, Heubach und Co, Oberstein, measuring 44. 35 mm
