A Kriegsmarine High Seas Fleet Badge, Unmarked by Steinhauer & Lück, Variant I consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac reverse strap(Flottenkriegsabzeichen). Instituted in April 1941. Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the base by a ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, surrounding a frontal depiction of a battleship cutting through waves, the reverse with a raised sheet metal hinge, with a slightly tapered vertical pinback, and a flat stamped catch, an unmarked example but
