This mask is hand carved out of Sese wood, hand painted and hand embellished by master Ghanaian artisan Theophilus Sackey. The mask is painted black and then hand embellished with cream hues. Our Gye Nyame mask features an Adinkra Gye Nyame symbol on its forehead. Gye Name represents "God's Omnipresence" and the "Supremacy of God" and is most likely the most popular Adinkra symbol in Ghana.
